authentication failed: The app returned "The function must be called while authenticated. (failed verification)".

Hi there @JoelCRS 👋 Sorry to see no one’s popped in to offer some help yet! It looks like this was posted in our Developer Zone area by mistake so I’ve moved it to the Troubleshooting category - that way others who can assist with Zap setup issues will be more likely to see it.

Not sure if you’ve already got this solved, if you have we’d love to hear what the solution was! This would be super helpful for others that might be running into that same error. 🙏

And if not, I had a look into the open bug reports we’re tracking for HiHello but couldn’t see anything mentioning that specific authentication error. It seems as though to use their Zapier integration you’d need to be on their Business plan or higher. So if you’re on a lower plan, then that might be why the error is occurring.

That said, looking at HiHello’s guide here it mentions about needing a username and password set up in your HiHello account. If you originally signed up using Google, Facebook, Apple, or Twitter, you’d need to create a password directly in HiHello and use that when connecting to Zapier, not the password for the app you signed up with.

If it’s neither of those and still erroring when you try to connect your HiHello account I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team to see if they’re able to see a more detailed error message in the system logs to help pinpoint what the issue is.

Keep us posted on how you’re getting on, want to make sure this gets sorted!
