Help with Airtable Fields Finding

Hi all,

When I look for a record (trying to link to different columns in my Airtable) I am shown a load of coded names for the columns as shown in the image. Sometimes they are shown as words but even then a lot of the column names don’t show.

I am new to using airtable and zapier - can anyone advise (a) how to get the names rather than these codes and (b) how to find other column names when they don’t show up in this ‘Select value for Record’ window.

Thanks!

Hi @SriVas,

Welcome to the Community.

If Zapier shows coded API names instead of field names from Airtable, try refreshing the Airtable data in Zapier by clicking "Refresh Fields" in the set up action step. If some column names don't appear, ensure they are valid field types supported by Zapier (for example, text, number, date) since complex types like 'Attachment' or 'Lookup' may not be recognized.

I hope this information helps you with your concern. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you - where do I find the ‘Refresh Fields’ button/option?

When it works (i.e. doesn’t show the API codes but shows the actual header of the column) the first few column titles show in the ‘Select Value for Record’ pop-up window but I want to select ones further along in my airtable - can you suggest how I can find these?

Thank you!

Just to add - All my columns are the same, just text, and it has worked for the first few columns so the file type should be supported.

Any ideas how I could get more support with this? It should be a fairly simple task I am trying to do if I could just select the column where I want to Update Record too, but either it is showing in API code and/or not showing the column name at all.

Thanks!
