I have created a Google Doc from a template and I am attaching that Google Doc to an email to be sent.  This is something I have done many times before.

My problem is when attaching the Google to the Email (using Export Links Application.PDF) the email fails to send.  Here is the attachment to the email:

Here is the error message I get:

I have made sure that both Google Docs and my email account are connected.  If i REMOVE THE GOOGLE DOCUMENT THE EMAIL IS SENT FINE.  THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE GOOGLE DOC BEING ATTACHED TO THE EMAIL.

Note, this Google Doc is a shareable link.

THANKS FOR THE HELP!

Hi there @blueguy,

It looks like our Support Team already responded to your inquiry today with a suggestion. I’ll share the details here in case it’s useful for you:

Thanks for writing in to our Support team. My name is Chance and I'll be assisting today. I see that you're looking for some help with an error you're running into with a Gmail action in your Zap, Hep C Screening Offsite / Send results to lab and pt. I totally understand wanting to get to the bottom of this and will do my best to help out here!

In this case, the "Not Authorized" message you're encountering likely has to do with one of the files you've attached to the sample email rather than the connected account.

We might expect that to happen if the data we're sending through has expired or if the permissions are outdated. When I went to check on that, I did notice that Step 11 is using sample that is 3 months old, so that could be part of our error reasoning.

Here's what I recommend:

  1. Re-test Step 11 to obtain an updated output from that action.
  2. Once you have an updated output from Step 11, re-test the email step (Step 12) to see if the refreshed sample resolves the error.

I'll be on the lookout for your reply with any updates!

Best regards,
