Gmail Zap Is changing CSV File to TXT File

Userlevel 1

I setup a Google Drive to Gmail zap -- everything works, but for some reason it’s changing the CSV file to a TXT file. I really need it to be a CSV file - does anyone know if there’s a fix for this?

Hi @Fuel Made

Good question.

In order for us to have context, please post detailed screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured.

You likely have the wrong dynamic variable mapped.

Here are the screenshots:

Step 1: Google Drive (don’t know if you needed screenshots of this part but just in case it helps to see the whole picture)

@Fuel Made

You have the GDrive File Title mapped to the Attachments field.

You need to map a File object or a File URL.

Use this variable “File (exists but not shown)”
