Hi :)
I am setting up my first zap,
And it should be triggered by a new opt-in on Systeme.io in one of my funnel,

Zappier recognize the right funnel and the right optin page
But when I start the “find the records”
Not only it doesn’t find the only record I created
But it shows me old records that don’t belong to this funnel

The contact
I have run the test 7 times
Same answer and it’s not good
( I will connect to an SMS app after, the goal is to send SMS after optin)

Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong?
Thanks

Hi @mads06

Some Zap app triggers only return random records rather than the most recent records.

You should still be able to configure the Zap action steps.

Then turn the Zap ON, test live, and check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Thanks for your help but this is my very first zap, and it takes one record from another funnel that is 100% not related to the new funnel + 1 new record (first one) 1 put in this funnel. And it keeps repeating the same : giving me the contcat of a person who is definitely not in this funnel. I am about to give up, that seems so complicated here

@mads06

Try this…

  1. Configure the Zap action step.
  2. Turn the Zap ON.
  3. Test live.
  4. Check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step to help you trace the data flow and troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/
  5. If needed add a Filter as Zap step 2: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

Hi @mads06,

We just wanted to see how everything is going with your Zap. Did Troy's recommendation get the job done? Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance with your Zap. We're glad to address any concerns and assist you.

We're looking forward to your response.

Hi @JammerS unfortunately not
I run the tests
one person records are detected and this person doesn’t belong to the selected funnel (its non sense), since I just have 1 record in this new funnel that is ME :)
I don’t know how to debug this, really

Hi @mads06,

I’m jumping in to see if I can help!

I understand that you're encountering an issue with it pulling the incorrect record. Could you please do a quick test for me? Try mapping the fields from the sample data to your action step and publish the Zap. After that, please perform a live test by creating a new opt-in in Systeme.io.

This will help us determine if the trigger is still activating with the incorrect record.

Kindly give it a try and let me know how it goes? I'll keep an eye out for your response!

How come this has changed?

It is a much clearer way to create an integration without guessing what might happen and testing live.

This causes an immense issue when we need to format data from one software to another.

Some data comes in as numbers that need to be replaced with text.

If we cannot see this on an exact test this is very cumbersome.

Hi @pierre presstime,

Zapier's changes to handling test and live data aim to enhance accuracy, but they may complicate setting up and testing Zaps with complex data formatting. User feedback, like yours, is valuable and will be shared with the product team for future improvements. Meanwhile, tools like Formatter by Zapier can help with data transformation tasks. For further assistance, feel free to contact support.

I am having the same issue. The recent optin data is not being pulled. Some random contact from some other funnel is being pulled. I deleted everything, reconnected, tried 10-15 times, same result.

Please help!

Hi @Poulomi Basu,

Your Zap isn't pulling the correct data from your opt-in funnel. To troubleshoot, check that the trigger is set up for the correct funnel, test the trigger in Zapier to confirm data is coming through, review any filters in the Zap to ensure they're not excluding valid contacts, and verify the action setup is configured correctly. Also, clearing your browser cache might help resolve any unexpected behavior.

If you've tried these steps and are still experiencing the issue, please provide more details about the Zap you've set up and your applications. This will help us better understand the problem and provide more specific guidance.

Hi Jammers,
Thanks for the reply. I have tried everyting you mentioned. Here are the error details:

This Skool step hit an error

The app returned "cannot invite to default privacy course: 06ea3f4bab9240a19b4c554121e9e6e3".

When I say Help me fix it, I get this

What this error means:
The error indicates that the Zap is trying to use an email address from a previous step, but it seems that the expected data (the email) was not passed correctly. This could be due to the previous step not providing the necessary output or the data being misconfigured.

How to fix it:

  1. Check Previous Step Output: Review the output of the previous step (SystemeIoCLIAPI) to ensure that the email address is being correctly passed. Look for the field that corresponds to "contact » email".
  2. Verify Data Mapping: Ensure that the mapping in the Skool step is correctly referencing the email from the previous step. It should be set to pull from the correct field.
  3. Test the Previous Step: Run the previous step again to confirm that it outputs the expected data, particularly the email address.
  4. Check for Errors in Previous Steps: If the previous step has any errors, resolve those first, as they may prevent the correct data from being passed.

Re-test the Zap: After making adjustments, re-test the Zap to see if the error persists.

I have also done this.
Acutally, i see the error already when I test the Systeme zap. It doesnt show me any recent email optin addresses, just some random one from a different funnel, done ages ago.

Hi @Poulomi Basu,

If your Zap involving Systeme.io and Skool isn't working as expected, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot. First, refresh the data samples in the Zap editor to ensure you're working with the most recent data, as Zapier may cache older entries. Double-check that your trigger event in Systeme.io is correctly configured and pointing to the proper funnel or campaign, and confirm that recent opt-ins exist to activate the Zap. Then, review the field mapping in the Skool step to ensure it correctly pulls the email address from Systeme.io. If needed, create a new test opt-in to generate fresh data for troubleshooting. Also, verify that the Systeme.io and Skool integrations are functioning correctly, including checking Skool's privacy settings to ensure invitations are allowed. If none of these steps resolve the issue, reaching out to support for either platform may uncover additional problems or solutions.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue causing the error in your Zap. Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or have additional questions.

I think the issue is not clear. Let's forget about Skool for a change.

It's not pulling the right data from systeme.io. Just not pulling in the recent opt-ins, but some other random data  That's the only issue.

I even turned the Zap off and created a new one. Still the same issue.

Hi @Poulomi Basu,

We sincerely apologize, but to troubleshoot the issue with Zapier not pulling the correct opt-in data from Systeme.io, start by verifying that your Zap is using the appropriate trigger event, such as "New Contact" or "New Opt-In." Use the "Test Trigger" feature in the Zap editor to check the received data and ensure it matches what you expect. Confirm that Systeme.io's integration settings are configured correctly and that no filters block recent opt-ins. Be aware of possible delays or sync issues between Systeme.io and Zapier, and consult their status pages if needed. If you've already recreated the Zap, double-check each step for accuracy and ensure no filters unintentionally exclude relevant data. Reviewing Zapier's Zap History can also provide insight into what's being processed. If the problem persists, contacting Zapier Support with detailed information about your setup can help uncover further issues.

I don't know why you're giving me the setup process. I am telling you, the data is not being pulled. Obviously, I know that because of the Test Step part.

Anyway, thanks.

Hi @Poulomi Basu,
