With every submission, I want to get notified so I am using “Email by zapier”. It was working fine till now. But today I got an error “Failed to send an outbound email - The app returned request has expired”. Could somebody help me with the issue? Thanks.

Hi @pragya28

I’d recommend using your own email app to send the emails. (e.g. Gmail or Outlook)

Also, there are limitation of using the Email by Zapier app: https://zapier.com/apps/email/help

Hi there @pragya28,

I did some digging into this, and it seems like this error is related to the mapped file in the “Attachment” field where the file has already expired. Would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the “Action” section of your Email by Zapier step that shows all of its fields. Like so:

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

Thanks!

Hi, Sorry for the late reply. And thanks for looking into the error.

It’s hard to share a screenshot since it will not have all the values.

Let me describe what we are doing here - So with the help of pdf monkey I create a dynamic pdf I attach while sending mail by “Email by Zapier”. It’s working fine, that issue came only once but I am not sure why the attachment got expired. It would be great if you could help me with that.

Hi @pragya28,

Thank you for the clarification.

My best guess here is that URLs to documents created by PDFMonkey expire 1 hour after creation. That could be the reason the Email by Zapier step is running into an error.

You might need to upgrade your PFDMonkey plan for the links to stay permanent: https://pdfmonkey.io/pricing

Hopefully, this helps.
