Failed to find a bitlink in Bitly: Error from halted execution: Nothing could be found for the search.

I have created a flow starting with the scheduler by bit.ly to create an event triggered by the time reaching 1am on Mondays. (I plan to record data weekly)
However, when I go to type in my Bit.ly url, it gives me the option of choosing a field from the Zapier scheduler  data set, not from the Bit.ly urls. No matter what url I input, I get an error.

Hi @EMZapZap

Good question.

Please post screenshots of the encountered error.

I did select a link that was from the bitly account and used the format: bit.ly/ExpressionMedHome

@EMZapZap

Try using the Bitly link that is not branded/customized.

I used a link that was not customized and received the same error message

My problem is: I want to enter bit.ly data into a spreadsheet every week. But if the trigger is Zapier Scheduler, it only let’s me utilize scheduling data. I tried changing the 2nd step to be create a row in google sheets and it will only allow me to enter data from the scheduler (see screenshot). How would I set up inputing data from bit.ly to zapier every week?

@EMZapZap

Try removing the Group in the Bitly Find Bitlink Zap step.

If you want metric data, then you’d likely have to use the Bitly API: https://dev.bitly.com/api-reference/#getClicksForBitlink

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app as an action step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

If you need help, consider hiring a Certified Zapier Expert: https://zapier.com/experts/automation-ace

That worked! Now I’m going to adjust the full flow to see what happens!
