I’m trying to connect MailChimp and Podio so i can automatically send an email to new subscribers. i have everything set up correctly, I’ve watched tutorials and read articles. but every time i try to test my zap an error comes up saying “failed to create a subscriber on MailChimp. Invalid Resource - Please provide a valid email address”. it’s entered correctly in Podio but it comes up weird on here, and its not valid. any solutions?

Hi @Cam Handley

Welcome to the Community! I'm sorry you’re having trouble with your Zap.

The email address provided can be an invalid email. Can you send screenshots of your Zap setup to see how it is configured?

Hi @Cam Handley

Good question.

Help article about how to change your trigger test data: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496310366093

You can try turning the Zap ON, then testing, then check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Hi, I’m having the same issue. It has something to do with the “customer@email.com” trigger.

I have edited a Zap (Add/update subscribers in Mailchimp), and now won’t publish, as the test doesn’t work. No data can be found. (It was working before I edited it to add another form in my Wix Automations.)

How do I change this so that it’s working?

Hi @abefus,

This happens because the email address mapped on the “Email” field is not a valid email address. My suggestion is to click on the "Skip test" button to bypass the action step, and then proceed to publish the Zap.

Thanks! 😊
