Facebook Lead Ads trigger is inconsistent and missing leads

Hi,

We recently discovered that automationFacebook Lead forms is not always triggerd. After exporting leads from Facebook form and cross checking with Zapier history, we identified that certain number of leads comming from same form, campaign, ad set and even same add does not appear on Zapier histroy, meaning Zapier never received a webhook for it. While other pass to Zapier just fine.

Is any one experiencing same issue? Have you identified any patterns?

I’ve discovered that same issue already happened in 2024

and a bug assosiated with it was open on Meta developers platform https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/1130587701359392/

Unfortunatelly, it seems that only product owners can open platform related bugs on developers platform. Hope Zapier team could help us reopen this case with Meta.

Hi @Anton Golvid

Help links for using FB Lead Ads in Zaps: https://zapier.com/apps/facebook-lead-ads/integrations#help

Check the Meta Status page: https://metastatus.com

Specifically the history for Ads: https://metastatus.com/ads-manager/history

FYI: FB is a bit notorious for having issues with their Lead Ads trigger.

You can try opening a ticket with Zapier Support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Hi @Anton Golvid, just checking in. Were you able to resolve this, or is it still happening?

One thing I’d check is whether the missing leads share a timestamp window or field value that differs from the successful ones. A simple comparison sheet with lead ID, created time, form, ad set, and Zap history status usually makes escalation much easier.

I have the same issue. A zap setup to forward leads, and only some leads come through. I have to go to FB every day to download the leads and cross-check the missing ones. This was the reason I subscribed to Zapier, so if it can’t be fixed there’s no point using it. Very frustrating.

Sorry you’re affected by this issue as well @Svalbard.

Were there also missed leads for today, or just up to yesterday? Asking as there was an incident yesterday where new leads weren't triggering Facebook Lead Ads Zaps. So I’m wondering if the bug discussed here might have been an early symptom of that same issue, which has since been resolved. 🤔

That said, I’ve added you to the bug report in the meantime, so you’ll be sure to be notified if there’s any updates on it.

I’m also having the same issue, it misses at least 1 out of every 10

this seems to be an ongoing problem. Missing a load of lead off of multiple Facebook forms. now having to go through manually each day and work out what go zapped and what didn’t. This is actually making the job longer than just manually doing them as they come in. Now I have to check our CRM if they are in and if they are not which form they came from and if there is an issue with the zap and then put them manually in. If Zapier cannot sort this out, it may not longer be worth using their platform.
