I have created a Zap I’ve created many times for when a new registrant to an Eventbrite event registers, Zapier sends the name and email into a group in MailerLite.

Now I am getting this error. I’ve attempted to change the field its drawing from (there appears to be two versions with an email) and I’m still getting the error.

Suggestions?

Just came across this and saw that you also reached out to our Support team. It looks like you were able to get things sorted by removing the manually typed test@test.com email from the Email field and updating the selected profile email field so that the correct address was passed to MailerLite.

I’ll share the Support team’s instructions here in case it helps anyone else running into a similar “Required field "Email" (email) is missing” error:

To remove the test@test.com value:

I’ve taken a closer look, and it appears that the 'test@test.com' address is currently typed directly into the Email field in your 'Add Subscriber to Group' step. Here’s a screenshot showing exactly where this is located:

To resolve this, you’ll want to:

  1. Open your Zap and click 'Edit draft.'
  2. Go to the MailerLite step and select the 'Configure' tab.
  3. Click into the 'Email' field and remove the 'test@test.com' text, leaving only the mapped field from your Eventbrite trigger.
  4. Publish the updated version of your Zap.

 
Once you’ve made this change, you can replay any failed Zap runs from your Zap History, and the error should be resolved. If you run into an error that says the Zap has changed too much, then you can Replay the entire Zap run instead of just the errored steps.


And to remap the correct email field:

In the testing environment, the email is coming through as 'Profile E Mail,' but when your Zap runs live, the correct value is in the 'Profile Email' field. To fix this:

  1. Open your Zap and click 'Edit draft.'
  2. Go to the MailerLite step and select the 'Configure' tab.
  3. In the 'Email' field, remove 'Profile E Mail' and map in the 'Profile Email' value instead.
  4. Skip the test for this step—you don’t need to retest it.
  5. Publish your Zap.
  6. Go to your Zap History and use the 'Replay the Entire Zap' feature for any failed runs.
