I need to extract data from an email (outlook) that triggers the zap, but after only few characters (3-4 rows of text??) the variable is troncated and the following step do not get all its content.

Hi @Crok

Post screenshots for us to have more info about what you are mentioning.

@Troy Tessalone thanks for your reply !

As you can see the Body preview variable ends with the word “NUOV” but the email continues… any idea why the following lines of text are not into it?

Hi there, @Crok 👋

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in to lend a hand! That Body Preview field is meant to have a truncated “preview” of the full body of the email so that will be why the rest of the email message being cut-off after the word NUOV.

There’s a Body Content field though which should contain the full contents of the email:

Can you try selecting that Body Content field instead and let us know if that field provides the rest of the email?

hi @SamB and thank you very much for taking the time to look into my request and answering it.

I know there’s also th body content field, wich I previously tried to use. Unfortunately I ran into two different issues:

  • when editing a ZAP I have the same problem of cut-off as you can see here
  • when the ZAP is up and running I actually get an even worst result since the text is totally unreadable (don’t have a screen to show ATM)

So sorry for the delay in replying here @Crok! Ah, yes I see what you mean. It definitely looks as though the content in the Body Content field is being cut off as well.

I had a look on this end to see if we’ve got any open bug reports for issues with the email content being truncated with that New Email Matching Search trigger but couldn’t find anything. So I recommend reaching out to our Support team to investigate further, as I suspect this could be a bug.

Keen to ensure this gets sorted so please let me know what they find!
