I have a zap that uses Google Sheet for the action step. The issue I’m having is that when the data comes through from the trigger, it’s putting the same data in Sheets multiple times. What would cause this?

Hi @Inventive Guild

For us to have full context, we will need to see screenshots with how your steps are outlined and configured.

Here’s the trigger step: https://app.screencast.com/5f0vbppenXp9E

And here is the action step: https://app.screencast.com/O4g5rzpE31qqC

This is what it looks like in Google Sheets: https://app.screencast.com/rqcJWckinQeK0

Thank you in advance for the help.

@Inventive Guild

The Zap trigger will fire for NEW or UPDATED Contacts in ActiveCampaign.

You may want to add Zap step logic to find (else create) a row in GSheets, then another Zap step to update the row to prevent duplicates.

Hi Troy,

The things that is puzzling is that it was working before. So not sure why it’s suddenly putting multiple of the same data in the sheet or why I would have to have it find a contact in Active Campaign. Any idea why it would suddenly not work right when it was fine to begin with?

Hi @Inventive Guild,

I’m jumping in to see if I can help!

I did some digging into this, and it seems like the issue you’re running into is a known bug with ActiveCampaign where there are duplicate triggers. Our team is aware of the issue and we're working with ActiveCampaign on a fix. I've added your email address as another affected member. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track and prioritize fixes
  • Allows us to notify you via email if/when this is fixed

Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA, but I’ve added you to the list of users affected by this issue so we can let you know as soon as we have any updates.

I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Great! Thanks,Ken.

I have an issue though in that because of all the multiple/duplicated entries, it’s using up our task usage. Who do I contact regarding this?
