Hi,

I have a Zap set up so that whenever someone signs up to be a member of one of my project’s Patreon pages, it will send a message on Discord notifying me of the person’s name and the amount (tier) that they have pledged. It has been working for several years without any problems so far. However, earlier today, someone from Hungary pledged 3800 Hungarian Forints which had to be converted by Patreon to USD (about $10) and the Discord message showed $3800.00 as the pledge amount rather than post-conversion ~$10 amount. It seems like the “Amount Dollars” dynamic field for Patreon triggers is showing the raw number value of the amount that was pledged rather than first converting it to USD and then displaying the amount. Am I using the incorrect field or the wrong type of trigger or something like that?

Here’s a screenshot of my Send Channel Message action in Zapier with some older data:

And a screenshot of what showed up on Discord when someone did that non-USD pledge today:

I appreciate all the support that anyone can provide. Thanks!

Hi @Geforce

Check the Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT to help you troubleshoot the data point values used: https://zapier.com/app/history/

Patreon may not handle conversion as you expect or there could be a different variable to use.

It looks like the “Amount Dollars” field doesn’t actually convert to dollars which is a bit misleading (as if I log into my Patreon account, it shows the correct converted USD amount for the transaction). I don’t see any field that would be close to the $10 either.

If there is a field from Patreon that indicates the currency, then you could use a currency converter.

Most Zap app integrations are created and managed by the app developer using the Zapier Developer Platform.
