Hi Zapier Community! We are trying to do a test where we can update a policy that in 2 years to the day that we submit it to AgencyBloc, we will be notified. So far, we have the day and the year correct but after we put in the +2y modifier, the result was an error. Instead of just 24 months, it became 26 months to the day the policy is submitted.
Example: Start date is 2023-06-09; End date is 2023-06-09 +2y
The end date we’re looking for is 2025-06-09. But the result we’re seeing is 2025-08-09
Can you help figure out how to fix this?

Hey there,
Depending on the apps, sometimes working with dates and times can be a little wonky. So much so, my teammates put together a few resources on the topic:
- Modify date and time formats in Zaps
- Adjust date and time values in Zaps
- Working with Date/Time Fields
That being said, are you using a a Date/Time Formatter step? If so, could we start with with verifying the date formatting in that step and then retesting the zap? Sometimes setting the “From Format” field is all that’s needed. Here’s an example of what that might look like:
