Customers are unable to open automatically emailed OneDrive folders.

One drive folders have been setup and emailed to customers.l automatically.

The problem is the file sent doesn't allow the customer to open but I can open the new folder. It may be shared permission settings but if I click on the same folder and manually share it, they can then open it.

What is the workaround so I don't have to do this tedious task myself?

Hi there @Education and Training,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

I did some digging into this, and it seems like the created folder isn’t possible to be shared. However, we do have an existing feature request for this exact functionality.

I have added you to the open feature request as another interested member. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!

Additionally, you might be able to use API Request (Beta) as a workaround by referencing this from OneDrive’s API docs: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/developer/rest-api/api/driveitem_createlink?view=odsp-graph-online

Please note that API Request (Beta) is quite advanced so our support for that is quite limited. For additional help, you may want to reach out to one of our certified Zapier Experts here: https://zapier.com/experts

Hopefully, this helps.
