I set up a Zap to post automated Slack messages using a custom Bot Name.
The custom name (“Robot” for now) and icon appear correctly when viewing the message in the context of the Slack thread:
But when I search for the same message, the name reverts to “Zapier” and the icon changes:
Not sure whether the icon change is related to the longstanding bug discussed in

I took a look at the bug report regarding the Slack bot icon, and it appears that the issue is on Slack’s end. Our engineers have already nudged the Slack team about it.
