I’m using the Crelate APP to ‘Find Contact’.  It’s unable to find any Names.  But if I use a GET Request with the same Account ID I get the entire database.  Provided some screen shots.

Hi @marneye

Try using only 1 of the fields.

Crealte ID
OR
Email Address

TIP: Click field labels that are underlined to see tooltips with more info.

Thank you for responding.  I attempted both options but I’m still running into the same issue. But got the same response:

Error from halted execution: Nothing could be found for the search.

@marneye

For us to have updated context, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are currently configured now.

It will be helpful to see the field values you are using to test as well.

Here you go. Thanks!

@marneye

Can you post screenshots showing the matching Crelate Contact for those 2 search values?

@marneye

Screenshots do not show data from Crelate that match to the search values used in the Zap step as proof the Contact exists in Crelate.

Not sure I understand your response.  Using only the ID code this was the issue.  My thought process was the ID code identified the “crelate” account and the email would then find that contact.

@marneye

Zap action: Crelate - Find Contact

  • If you are trying to search by the Crelate ID, then that needs to the ID of an existing Crelate Contact.
  • If you are trying to search by the Email Address, then that needs to the email address of an existing Crelate Contact.

Your screenshots thus far have not shown any Contacts from within the Crelate app that show the ID or email address of the existing Crelate Contact that you are expecting the Zap step to find.

I ran the test again.  I’ve confirmed that this is the correct “account id” and I can confirm the email is in the Crelate instance for this account.

I’m trying to find the contact in this step and the next step I need to update to customized fields for the contact I find.  I’ll Update Contact action to do that.

@marneye

You still have not provided screenshots from within the Crelate app of the specific Contact you are trying to find via the Zap step.

The screenshots should show the Create Contact profile page including the browser URL.

The screenshots should show the ID and/or Email on the Create Contact profile page that you are trying to use as the search values in the Zap step.

So thus far, you have not proven via a screenshot that there is an existing Contact in Creleate that matches the search values you are trying to use in the Zap step.

Per the Crelate Zap app integration and Crelate API docs, it appears Crelate does not use the term “Account”.
So if you are trying to search for a Creleate Contact by ID, then that needs to be the Crelate Contact ID, not the Create Company ID, or some other Crelate object ID.

Click the Crelate ID field that is underlined to see a tooltip with more info that may provide guidance.

Post screenshots of that field tooltip.

Thanks Troy.  I have a call scheduled with Okanna on Monday.  FYI - this link is broken.

@marneye
I recommend reporting that broken link to Crelate Support since that is their help page.
