Question

Create singleMonday subitem that has comma in text

We have an automation that will create a subitem in Monday.com when there is a status change on the parent item.

Problem is when the title of the subitem includes a comma, it recognizes this as a list and creates multiple subitems instead of one single subitem with a comma.

The title of the subitem is the same as the title of the parent item.

How do I fix this? I’ve tried adding a Utilities formatter step for line-item to text and text to line-item, but that doesn’t seem to work either.

Hey @kmo

If you could post the screenshots that would help a lot.

You can also refer to this
https://community.zapier.com/featured%2Darticles%2D65/how%2Dto%2Dget%2Dline%2Ditems%2Darrays%2Dinto%2Dcode%2Dsteps%2D6942

It should work as then it’s a string then and not multiple subitem. Please post data in and data out screenshots to see where is the problem.

Hi @kmo

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined along with how the Zap step is configured in the CONFIGURE tab while in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible so we can see field types for the Zap step that creates the Subitem.
