I’m trying to publish a basic zap (when a new contact is added to ConvertKit, also add to SendFox list). Everything is working and all tests are resolving as expected, but when I publish I immediately get an email saying that the zap could not be turned on because: “

Step 1 - New Subscriber in ConvertKit

The API Secret you supplied is invalid. Try to reauthorize”

I’ve checked the API Secret and even deleted the connection (in Zapier) to reauthenticate the whole account, but continue to get this error.

Has anyone else run into this? Or have ideas of how I can fix it? I appreciate any and all help! 🙏🏻

Try this tip:

Do I need a paid ConvertKit account to use ConvertKit with Zapier?

You need a paid ConvertKit plan to access your ConvertKit API keys.

Thanks, Troy.

I’m willing to give the private browser window a try, but am still baffled. I’m not getting an authentication error at any point while setting up the zap or (re)setting up a connection to CK. All tests pass. I only get an error when I try to publish the zap itself.

Do you have a ConvertKit paid plan?

I’m currently signed up for their free tier, but plan to upgrade soon. I’m hoping to launch my newsletter in Nov.
