I’m receiving the same zap error every time I try to create a new contact in my CRM system, Constant Contact through a Zap I set up:

“Constant Contact error: Email address is invalid or has been flagged by compliance. Contact a deliverability specialist at Constant Contact.”

This is happening even though all of the emails seem to be legitimate. It is happening 100% of the time for a specific Zap I have live. Has anyone experienced a similar issue. How did you resolve?

Help us have more info by posting screenshots showing how your Zap step is configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

Below are things to check/try…

Try reaching out to Constant Contact Support for help understanding the encountered errors and provide them with specific examples.

TIP: Click field labels to see tooltips with more info that may help provide guidance.

 

TIP: Review the Zap step warnings for context that may help explain the encountered error.

 

For Zap Runs, check the LOGS tab to see the underlying API request/response, which may contain more context about the error.

 

TIP: In Zap step 2, make sure to remove the “Extra Fields”.

 

Check if the errors are related to the “null” values set for the Address fields.

I have tried all of these options as well as reaching out to Constant Contact. I was told to reach out to Zapier Support because Constant Contact confirmed the issue is not on their end. Can you help put me in touch with someone for support?

Looks like you’ve already done that, and they were able to identify the cause of the error. Not sure if you’ve seen their reply yet, but wanted to share the main details from it here in case it’s helpful to you or anyone coming across this in the future:

Taking a look in our logs, I'm seeing this error below:

 Based on the error message and our internal notes, it looks like the issue is related to the “street address” field in your Zap. Constant Contact requires that you specify a “type” for the street address (for example, “home,” “work,” etc.) when adding a new contact. If this field is left blank or not set, you’ll encounter a validation error. You can find the field here:

To resolve this, please make sure that in your Zap’s setup for Constant Contact, you select a value for the “street address type” field. This should allow the contact to be created successfully.
