I’m trying to use “Matter Status Update” in Clio Manage to trigger an email when the status is changed to “Closed”. I created the zap but when I test it, it’s pulling files that are “open” and I’m not sure why.

 

 

It appears that I’m using the correct Event & Trigger, Zapier just isn’t pulling the right information. Can’t seem to find anything about that in the troubleshooting.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Some Zap triggers only return representative records so you can configure your Zap action steps.

You can always add a Filter as Step 2: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

Try turning the Zap ON and testing, then check your Zap Runs to see the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step to help you check/troubleshoot.

Thank you for the suggestion, however, I added a filter step but because the trigger isn’t pulling records based on “matter_closed” status it doesn’t work. It would just stop the Zap from proceeding.

I don’t understand why it’s pulling Open status files rather than closed status files...🤷‍♀️

I did try that, it doesn’t show anything in history so I’m stuck. I’m going to try something else. Thanks!
