Clever Reach subscribers created with Zapier are not activated and do not get double opt-in emails

I’ve using a Zap to create new subscribers with Zapier (via Gravity Forms that sends a webhook to Zapier). 

So the Zap is working. I added a new path to create a new subscriber to a certain mailing list. 

The problem is: 

  • The subscriber is being added to this mailing list
  • But they are not activated (Inactive)
  • And they do not get double opt-in emails

What I already did: 

  • I disabled and enabled the Zap
  • I tested this with completely new email addresses each time
  • I checked the settings several times (in Zapier and Clever Reach), but could not find any issues

What am I doing wrong?

For us to have more info, post these screenshots:

  • how your Zap steps are outlined
  • how your Zap steps are configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

I decided to use the Gravity Forms Add-on for Clever Reach instead of using Zapier and that works perfectly.
