ChatGPT integration isn't passing parameters correctly in Zapier.

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering a problem with the Zapier integration for Google Calendar, Gmail, and Google Tasks via the ChatGPT plugin. Despite having configured the actions correctly within Zapier, it seems that the parameters (such as event title, start time, end time for Google Calendar, or task name for Google Tasks) are not being passed correctly when initiated from ChatGPT. This results in a failure to execute the action.

Here are the specific issues:

  1. Google Calendar: The action for creating detailed events is set up in Zapier, but when triggered from ChatGPT, the parameters are not passed correctly, causing the action to fail.

  2. Gmail: Emails are not being sent despite correct configuration in Zapier when initiated from ChatGPT.

  3. Google Tasks: Similarly, parameters for creating tasks are not being passed correctly when the action is triggered from ChatGPT, resulting in an error.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hello @Aykster, welcome to the Community! 🙂

Sorry to hear that the parameters are not being passed correctly when using the Zapier ChatGPT plugin. It could be that the AI actions or prompting requires some adjustment in order to get things working correctly.

But I’d also recommend reaching out to the NLA team via the contact form (here: https://ai-feedback.zapier.app/contact-nla) to get further help with this. They’ll be better able to advise on whether it’s a bug you’re running into or whether some changes to the setup will resolve the issues here.

Keen to ensure you’re all set here so please do keep us in the loop on how you get on!
