This is regarding my Zapier chatbot.

Hello guys, I hope you can help me with this one. I don’t think that Zapier website knowledge source is working as expected in chatbot. Let me explain.

I have a pdf with 400 pages and 1 knowledge resource left in my Zapier chatbot plan. My plan is to convert this pdf to a webpage using tinyurl, and use it as a knowledge because there is a limitation of 2 mb per pdf which sucks and I think Zapier should increase this limit.

Before I convert 400 pages pdf to a website, I want to test the webpage knowledge source capability with a simple converted pdf. So I converted 2-page pdf to a website and fed that url to chatbot.

Then when I compared my chatbot webpage retrieval to native (when you upload pdfs to Zapier chatbot knowledge) pdf retrieval, my chatbot was not retrieving any knowledge from the webpage (converted pdf).

Do you know why webpage retrieval is not working as expected? Thank you in advance

Hi @Damir,

Welcome to the Community.

I understand your frustration with the Zapier chatbot's webpage knowledge source issues. To troubleshoot, first ensure the webpage created from your PDF is publicly accessible and not behind authentication. Check that the text is readable (not in images) and that the PDF-to-webpage conversion preserved the structure well. Try testing with more straightforward content to isolate the issue, and consider refreshing or re-adding the URL in the chatbot settings. If problems persist, reach out to Zapier Support with details. Also, sharing feedback about the PDF size limitation can help improve the service.
