Can't Update Contact in Follow Up Boss using the event " Create or Update Contact Without Triggering Action Plans in Follow Up Boss"


As the title suggest, I can’t update a contact on my FUB with the action event “

Create or Update Contact Without Triggering Action Plans in Follow Up Boss”

 

It’s always creating a contact and I can’t seem to find an option where it “UPDATES” a contact. Even the description on the test prompts indicate that it will create a contact.

 

What my intention in this zap is to update the contact’s address to the address of the property they bought.

 

 

I even tried using find a contact but this isn’t really needed since the first step already gets that information.

 

Any insights on how do we make this work?

It’s been a while since we heard from you here—were you since able to get this figured out on your own? 

If so, would you be up for sharing some details on what the solution was? This would be super helpful to others running into this issue and come across this thread. 🙏

And if not, do the contacts that the Zap should have found have an email address? Asking as it looks like the email address is what it would search for so if the contact doesn’t have an email listed or it’s a different one then that might be why it’s not found. If they do have email addresses, are they an exact match? It might be that it’s looking for an exact match but the capitalisation is slightly different i.e. FirstnameLast@fakeemail.com instead of firstnamelast@fakeemail.com. 🤔 Do you think that could be the case?
