Question

Can't get test data - it just keeps timing out

I am trying to get zapier to get test data from a formidable form and it keeps timing out trying to get data.  Of course, I can’t submit the zap to support, because it won’t save, since it can’t get test data and therefore I can’t set up any subsequent tests.  How do we zapier to actually WORK and pull in test data?  The connection is fresh, there is recent data, hundreds of entries to choose from lus the ones I just made specifically to test.  But Zapier won’t pull anything in.

Hi @julier

Good question.

You may need to submit a test, then refresh the trigger test data to pull in example results: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496310366093

Otherwise, can you post screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured along with the encountered error?

This is the error I get every time I try to pull in test data.

I’m only at step 1 - looking to trigger the zap when a new entry is created in the form.

@julier

Did you submit a test after configuring the Zap trigger?

I can’t test it, it won’t load any data.  Even if I submit an entry then immediately tell it to look for entries, it won’t find any and I can’t move forward.

We refreshed the connection the other day, it finds the forms to specify which form, but it will not find any data.

@julier

A workaround to try is using Webhooks: https://formidableforms.com/features/wordpress-form-api/

Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

This will generate the unique webhook URL to configure in Formidable Forms.
