I have the workflow set up so that the trigger is an inbound text message from the application Beside (formerly M1), once the trigger is set off it sends the inbound text to a google sheet.
All the fields are mapped correctly. The only issue is that it is giving me outbound messages as well although I have it set for just inbound.
The phone number also doesn’t always show up.

If there is a field indicating the direction, then add a Filter step: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/integrations#help

Please post the screenshots of Data In and Data Out for us to have more context.
Can’t you specify inbound in the direction? If it’s not working as expected, try adding a filter.

With the phone numbers not always appearing, is it only missing for outbound messages? If that’s the case, perhaps you could set the filter to check if a phone number exists to tell if it’s an inbound message or not. 🤔
