Question

Automatic new tasks on bloomerang based on task completion

I assign tasks to my team in Bloomerang. I want them to be able to write key words in the subject line when they complete those tasks and save them as an interaction that a new task is automatically created for them. For example, I assign them a task to call a donor. They leave a voicemail, so they save the interaction and write “quick follow up”. I want the zap to go through and make a new task 2 weeks later. I thought I had it all set up, but It’s still not working. Any help?

Hi @Campus Nonprofit

For us to have more context about what you are referring to, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured.

Hi @Campus Nonprofit

You can try:

  1. Trigger: Use "New Interaction" (not Task Completed) - Bloomerang has no task completion trigger

  2. Filter: Add "Filter by Zapier" → Only continue if Subject Contains quick follow up

  3. Delay: Use "Delay For" → 14 Days

  4. Action: "Create Task" in Bloomerang

Most likely issue: Missing Filter step + using wrong trigger

Critical: Your Zap must stay ON for the full 14 days - if turned off during delay, the task will never create
Hope this helps you get it sorted!

If still broken, can you please share screenshots of your Zap's trigger, filter, delay, and action steps (with the data in/out visible) so I can see exactly where it's breaking? This will let me give you a precise fix instead of guessing.

Hi! It seemed to have been lagging, but I think it actually worked. So I’ll check back if it didn’t! Thank you.
