I would like to add all new files which I add to a specific folder in my google drive to a notion database called “Dokumente”. In this database I have added a column with the property “Google Drive File”.

If I add a URL manually to this field Notion is fetching the date and you get the file name as linked file in this field. When you hover over it with you mouse you get a preview of the file.

Using Zapier I was able to get the new file in the database, BUT

  • I was only able to include a link (via Alternate Link) to the URL Field but not the Google Drive item like I did manually. The field “Google Drive File” is also not available in Configure screen.

I would like to have it like this

I have tested and tried everything - so far I believe Zapier is just not able to fill this specific field, or am I wrong.

Thank you all for your help-

Kind regards,
Stefan

You may need to use the direct download link from GDrive:

If you copy this FILE_ID and use it in the URL below, you’ll get a direct link to download the file from GDrive.

I can't see all fields in my Zap

Not all Notion property types are supported in Zapier.
The following property types are not supported:
  • Files and Media
  • Formulas
  • Relations
  • Rollups
  • Status
These property types will not appear in your triggers or actions.
