Question

How to set a percentage discount for sales orders in Zoho Inventory?

How may I select percentage discount when creating sales order through an automated zap?

It is always coming in as a discount amount instead of a percentage.

Example, the product in the sales order should have 20% discount. Instead, the zap will make it an amount and deduct $20 instead of 20%

Any help is appreciated!

Hi @chrisdoesautomations,

Welcome to the Community.

To apply a percentage discount in a Zap, check if the sales order app allows percentage-based inputs or if it defaults to a flat amount. If needed, use a formula to calculate the discount as a percentage of the total order value before applying it. If issues persist, provide details about the apps and steps in your Zap for more specific guidance.

@JammerS

the image above is the zoho inventory sales order. in the DISCOUNT column, it defaults to the amount rather than the percentage. When creating the zap, there is no option for me to select the percentage.

How may i go about fixing this? Thank you!

Hi @chrisdoesautomations,

Zapier may default to using an amount instead of a percentage for discounts in Zoho Inventory. To fix this, check your Zoho Inventory settings to ensure discounts are set to percentage mode. If the option isn’t available in Zapier’s dropdown, try using the 'Custom Value' field. If the issue persists, contacting Zapier Support is recommended for further guidance.

Feel free to ask if you need further help setting this up or have any other questions.
