Hoping to get some help on this one…

Zap is able to create attachments in Salesforce but not under “files” but within the old “notes and attachment” section, couldn’t find any help document on how to get Zap create a file within the contentdocument.

I updated the mapping to create within contentdocument (below is the zap run log): but it still ended up creating a attachment under notes and attachment.

Hi there @ajayanikar - Thank you for writing to the community! I’m afraid we don’t have this feature for your to create a File within the content document. I understand that you’re looking for the previous “notes and attachment” area, however, the terminology “attachment” has been sunset long ago: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000337432&type=1&mode=1 which tells me that it’s no longer a feature that is offered.

I’ve gone ahead and noted this with our team that you’re still interested in finding out more information if this feature returns. Thanks!

Thank you @steph.n for your response. Yes Salesforce recommends using “files” rather than “attachment”, with most orgs now on lightning.

@steph.n I have run in to the same issue.  It seems to be a pretty important update since pushing files to ‘Notes & Attachments’ is being phased out.

Also, there is a help page you have updated only a few days ago.  So someone at zapier is till making updates on the docs, but not the code

https://zapier.com/help/doc/common-problems-with-google-drive

I hope this gets fixed soon as Google Drive and Salesforce are pretty widely adopted so I am sure many people would be affected.

@ajayanikar I used a developer to make a custom app.  Got it same day and worked perfect for this issue.  Well worth the cost compared to waiting for this to get fixed.

Highly recommend them.  THIS was another post that had the same issue.

Thank you @dasani for the reference.
I built a simple SF flow to convert the incoming attachment to a file which works fine.

@ajayanikar running into the same issue! how did you create the SF flow?

Hi all - we’re the developer @dasani mentions.

We’ve built a custom Zapier integration that supports Salesforce file uploads. Please get in contact if you’d like it added to your Zapier account.
