Hi. I have 25 “held” Zap runs because I was on a free trial and hit my 100 Zap limit. I just upgraded to the “Starter Plan” and should have plenty (500+) runs available for the rest of October.

So do I just do a bulk run for the 25 held?  What is the best way to get back on regular automation and clear up these held runs.  Thanks.

Hi @JF_1010

Good question.

Help article: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496241726989-Replay-failed-Zap-runs

Manually replay failed Zap runs

You can manually replay any step that fails due to a stopped or held status.

  1. Go to Zap History.
  2. Select which Zap runs to replay. You can use the dropdown menus to filter Zap runs by status, date range, owner, folder, app, or Zap name.
    • To individually select Zap runs to replay, select the checkbox next to each Zap run.
    • To bulk select Zap runs to replay, click the checkbox dropdown menu in the upper left and select:
      • Select shown to select all the Zap runs on the page.
      • Select all (5000 at a time) to select up to 5,000 Zap runs.
  3. In the upper left, click Play X (X indicates the number of Zaps runs that you've selected to replay).
  4. In the dialog box, click Replay to replay the selected Zap runs.
  5. A notification window will open to show that the Zap run is replaying.
    • Here, you can monitor the status of your replay job.
    • Once it's complete, you'll see a summary of the results.

Ok, thanks Troy. And now it is saying 16 are “throttled”

Does this mean they will run at some point?  And what about new subscribers...will the Zap run for them?  Given that I just started my subscription, I have ~700 zaps available for this month so there should be plenty of capacity.

I don’t see the term “throttled” mentioned anywhere within the links you sent. I just need to understand the following:

  1. Please define “throttling” within the Starter plan
  2. If I have 16 zaps “throttled” within the Starter plan and 700 available tasks, when will the throttled zaps be sent?
  3. Does the “throttling” from Zaps held impact new Zap triggers?

Throttling is discussed below. I don’t see anything saying that a Starter plan should get “throttled” for 25 tasks. If I am wrong, please point me in the direction of where it is explained on why I am being throttled.

@JF_1010

Can you post a screenshots of the encountered error for throttling?

Make sure to review the entire help article for context about related contributors to throttling.

Sure. Please see attached (not sure if detail within each Zap is needed). So we’ve had a few new subscribers today. Zaps for those individuals went through w/o an issue. It is the 25 that were stopped while we were on a free trial. Only 9 of those 25 have been run, 16 are held due to throttling.

To prevent the Zapier Send email action from being used for spam, Zapier throttles the Send email action.
