Zap Filter + HubSpot email assignment

Hi,


Would it be possible to automate email assignments on HubSpot depending on which email address received the email? So the current set-up is that we have inboxes in HubSpot that are connected to other Gmail inboxes.

For example, team@test.co (which is connected to HubSpot and has a Gmail account) automatically receives emails directed to james@test.co, tim@test.co, and kim@test.co. As a result, all emails sent to james@test.co, tim@test.co, and kim@test.co are routed to team@test.co.

Could we use Zapier to automatically assign John to all emails that were sent to james@test.co?


Would the trigger be "New Engagement"?

Hey there, @valeriasem! Ah, thanks for sharing that.

You’re right, I didn’t see an assign association action at the moment! 😔 I might recommend opening a ticket with our friends in support to see about opening a feature request for this. While it doesn’t guarantee implementation it’ll at least allow us to track interest moving forward.

Hi @valeriasem 

Good question.

Often the best thing to do is to try to configure the Zap and test to see what data points are available.

The Zap trigger for HubSpot New Engagement has a setting to select the type.

The thing is, even if we set up a filter somehow to pick a particular inbox and only in it to search for emails sent to "james@test.co" (we can't choose an inbox in the filter atm), still on a third step we don’t have an "Assign to" event to pick
