Question

Will Zaps resume normally after being turned off and on, including Delay steps?

I’m heading out on vacation a will be turning off 4 zaps for about 5 days. If I turn the zap back on when I return, will everything resume as normal? For example, if one of the zaps is set to a delay by zapier step which will day for 5 days, and then email a customer on day 6, will the zap resume the delay by timeframe once its turned back on?

Hi @Shane

Good question.

That can depend on the settings you have configured in the Delay step.

Can I run steps after a Delay if the Zap was turned off?

Your Zap must be on for the Delay to run. If it is off when Delay is scheduled to resume, any actions after the Delay will not run even when the Zap is turned on again. New Zaps that trigger after the Zap is turned on will run as usual.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there an option to “pause” or do I need to leave the zap on. Can’t really afford to have that many zap error out while Im gone.

@Shane

I’d recommend leaving the Zap ON.

There is no option to “pause” as Zaps are either ON or OFF.

Otherwise, you may have to consider restructuring the Zap logic if you anticipate these type of situations happening in the future.
