Will Zapier provide a solution to enable set up of new Webhooks with Zoom?

I posted this question two months ago but did not get a response before it was closed for replies.  I’d really appreciate a response from Zapier on this:

I need to set up new Webhooks to link Zoom with Zapier for those use cases which are not supported by the out-of-the-box triggers, for example, I need a trigger for people registering for all meetings and webinars, and for those who login to attend a meeting or webinar.

This used to be straight forward to do, but now there is an issue caused by a change made by Zoom as they upgraded their system security, but which has not, so far, been accommodated by Zapier.  As I result, it seems as if we cannot create new Webhooks for Zapier or edit existing ones.  In addition, it seems as if existing Webhooks will cease to work in October.

Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this or when Zapier will release a solution?

Hey there, @Lawrance T! 👋

As you’ve already discovered, there currently isn’t a way to trigger on new registrants for all meetings and webinars, but we do have a feature request open for that functionality to be added. I’ve added your vote for it so we can notify you the minute that gets implemented.

You’re quite right, it looks as though Zoom are dropping support for Webhook verification tokens in October 2023.

So rather than using webhooks I’d suggest building a custom integration with Zoom on our Developer Platform. the Developer Platform would allow you to work with the more advanced authentication methods that Zoom requires. This is a more advanced feature so I can’t advise you exactly on how to do that but we do have documentation and tutorials on how to build on our Developer Platform which should help to guide you on that: Developer Platform > Documentation.

You’ll also need to review Zoom’s own API documentation to make sure the integration you’re building is in line with their requirements: https://developers.zoom.us/docs/. And if you get stuck at all in building on our Developer Platform, please do reach out in our Developer Discussion area for assistance.

Alternatively, you can reach out to our Zapier Experts who would be happy to build this integration for you. Hope that helps! 🙂

Thanks @SamB , that is very helpful.  Of course, it would be even more helpful if we could know if the new feature would be delivered before October, but I’m guessing that this is not known at this stage.
