I’ve been considering using Zapier Tables and Interfaces together to make an app for my business, but I’d need to be able to search my Table with a wildcard. I’m not sure if this is supported. Have any of you had experience with this?

For example, my Table would have a field addresses. If the address is “1 North Main St”, I’d like to be able to use a wildcard in the search string that would also return results such as

1 North Main St

1 N Main St

1 N. Main St

and as above but with St. or Street.

Thank you very much

Hi @jacob-DAS

You can submit a form to leave feedback for that feature request with the Zapier Tables team: https://npsup.zapier.app/contact-us?product=Tables&feedback=Feature%20Request

Hey there @jacob-DAS! 👋

I’ve just seen that you reached out to the team and they got back to you with a suggestion on how to filter the records in a table without needing to use a wildcard search. Not sure if you’ve seen their reply yet, but here’s the main details from it in case it’s helpful for you or anyone else who comes across this thread in future:

“Zapier Tables have a filtering option that allows you to add multiple rules to extract data from your Table into a separate view. See this article for more details.

You can add multiple filters with various conditions to achieve similar results to using a wildcard.”

Hope that helps to get you pointed in the right direction. If you run into any issues or have questions do let us know! 🙂
