I am trying to create a Zap from Mailparser.io to create a new record in Salesforce but get this error when trying to test it:

Could not create record of the "Bid__c" object: We're not able to use this object type. Please use the help link below to contact Zapier support for more information / assistance.

There do not appear to be any issues with a required field so not sure what is casuingt the problem

Hi @osninc! Based on the error message that you’re getting it sounds like there’s something specific about the type of Salesforce object that you’re using, rather then the way that the Zap is set up (required fields, etc). If you’re not familiar with objects in Salesforce this guide from Salesforce gives you the fundamentals: Understand Custom & Standard Objects

 

From what you’ve said, I would guess that there’s something in the set up of the object that is causing an error with Zapier. In this case, the best thing is probably to contact the Zapier support team so that they can dig into your Zap and how your Salesforce instance is set up. You can contact Support using the Get Help form. When you do, try to give them as much information about the "Bid__c" object as possible as that will help them to get up to speed quicker.
