Using Zoho Books custom fields with a Cognito form

Hi

I’m trying to connect a Cognito form with Zoho Books, and all goes well until I come to map the fields, when I find I cannot see the Custom fields that I’ve created in Books.

Is there any way around this?

Thanks

Hi @PeteB

[TECHNICAL] This may have to involve the Zoho Books API to work with Custom Fields via the Webhook app.

Zoho Books API: https://www.zoho.com/books/api/v3/#Custom-Fields

Webhooks: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations

Hi @Troy Tessalone

Many  thanks for your reply; you say may have to . . . does anyone know if it definitely will have to?  I’m afraid I’m not familiar with webhooks or using the API - are there any examples, using the free plan, I could look at? I would have thought this was quite a common scenario.

Thanks again

Pete

Hi @PeteB

I can see that there is a feature request open for the addition of custom fields in Zoho Books actions. I’ve added you to the feature request which lets the Zoho team know how many users would like to see the addition and also means that we’ll send you an email if/when we have an update on that.

Thanks!

Hi @Danvers ,

Many thanks for this . . . but I’m afraid I’ve ended up using Integromat for this connection; I’ve been able to use my Cognito form input to create new users - including their custom fields - in Zoho Books.

I hope the addition of Books custom fields will help future Zapier users.
