Use Zap to add file to Mailchimp file manager

I’m needing to create a Zap to put an image file (.jpg) into my Mailchimp file manager, triggered by a new file in Dropbox. Mailchimp supports this https://mailchimp.com/developer/marketing/api/file-manager-files/add-file/ but I can't figure out how it’s done in Zapier.

Hi @kpoehls

Good question.

To use an App’s API, you can use the Webhooks app as an action step in the Zap.

Hey there, @kpoehls! I wanted to stop in and mention Troy’s definitely right, while there isn’t an Add File action in Mailchimp it’s possible this could be achieved through Webhooks by Zapier if you’re comfortable!

Here’s a few resources to get you started if you’d like to give that a shot:

I want to be sure to mention this is considered a bit more of an advanced approach so support is going to be limited. That said, our Code & Webhooks forum is a good spot to help troubleshoot if you’re stuck on a particular step. If you’d rather not fuss you can also look into hiring a Zapier Expert to build this out for ya.

It might also be worth opening a ticket with my teammates in support to mention this is a feature you’d be interested in seeing! While it doesn’t guarantee implementation it at least allows us to continue to gauge and track interest for this! 🙂
