Updating rows depending on the customer ID

I’m using Instabot to run through a survey, at the start of the survey it asks for the customer ID number. I need zapier to take this ID and use it to update the row in Google Sheets that contains that ID number, is this possible?

Hey @Radband98 Welcome to the Community! Would collecting that ID be considered a “New Goal Completed” in Instabot? If so, that would be the trigger (Step 1) of your Zap. From there, you will need the following 2 steps:

  • Google Sheets > Find/Create Row (You will be searching by the ID number returned to you from your Instabot trigger)
  • Google Sheets > Update Row (When selecting the row, choose “use a custom value” to then utilize the “Row ID” from the previous GSheets step. This ensures you are updating the row you just found.)
