We have integrated Facebook leads to our Application via Zapier. Now we need to use the Facebook conversation. to update the lead stage as per the lead status in our web application. We are not sure how we do that.

Hi @alpana sharma, welcome to the Community! 🎉

The Facebook Conversions app doesn’t appear to have any triggers that would allow you to run a Zap when a lead is converted. So I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team to put in a feature request for a “Lead Converted” type of trigger to be added.

In the meantime, is there a specific action that occurs that would signal that a lead has been entered a particular stage? e.g. they purchase a product, send you an email, etc. Just wondering if you might be able to use a different app for the trigger 🤔

Not sure what web application you’re using, if it’s not one that currently integrates with Zapier you may need to use Webhooks actions to first find the relevant lead, and then update the it’s status.

Hope that helps to get you pointed in the right direction. Keep us posted on how it goes. Happy to lend a hand if you get stuck at all!

Hi @alpana sharma, if I’m understanding correctly, you don’t need a trigger from Facebook, you just need to report conversions from your web app back to Facebook, correct? If so, the Facebook conversions app should work fine, but the trigger for your zap will depend on the details of your web app. If it fires a webhook, then you can create a Zap that receives that as the trigger and then posts the conversion back to Facebook.

Hi! I can help you set up a Zapier workflow that uses Facebook conversations to update lead stages in your application. We'll map Messenger activity to lead statuses and automate the update process accordingly.

@DennisWF Thats correct. The Platform is PEGA which is not supported by Zapier yet so we would be using Webhooks. Can you kindly guide us step by step on how can we acheive this. If there is an existing zap template that I can use?

@alpana sharma just use Webhooks as your trigger step. It will generate a Zapier URL that you can configure your web app’s webhook to POST to.

You mean messenger chats or something else?

Hey @alpana sharma, just checking in! Were you able to get this sorted?

Let us know how it went, want to make sure you’re all set 🙂
