Hello All .

I am trying to create a Zap that can help me move data from a JotForm form to an Affinity List.

We have created a test form with several fields such as Contact Name, email, Organization Name, etc.

We have also created an Affinity List that has the same set of fields we are capturing in the Form.

This is the general Design for the ZAP:

But I am struggling to find an action/option for the Affinity step that would allow me to simply select an Affinity list and move all elements from the form to that list. In essence I am looking for a way to add New records to an Affinity list, without these records being linked to a specific Entity, Organization, Opportunity or Contact.

The options I see for Affinity are not allowing me to simple select the fields from the form and map them to the fields in the Affinity list. Note of the events seem to be conducive for what I need to do, and I couldn't add another event to the list.

Is there any way I can achieve what I am trying to do:

  1. I have a form with Name, Business, Phone, Web Site and Email
  2. I have an Affinity list with the same fields.
  3. I need a way to capture the form entry into the affinity list , simple 1 to 1 mapping.
  4. I CAN NOT FIND the option to do this when using the Affinity App/action in Zapier.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hi @JGRolon,

Welcome to the Community.

Thanks for reaching out! The issue with sending Jotform data to an Affinity List likely stems from Affinity's API, which requires data to be linked to an Entity, Organization, Opportunity, or Contact. A helpful workaround is to create a default entity in Affinity (like "Default") and use your Zap to create or update it with Jotform data, then link the records to it. While not ideal for every case, this approach allows data transfer without requiring unique entities for each submission.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions or need further assistance.

Hi there, @JGRolon 👋

Did Jammer’s suggestion do the trick or are you still stuck on this?

Want to make sure you’re all set, so please keep us posted on how it’s going! 🙂

Hi @SamB

Yes, Jammer’s suggestion provided the guidance needed to solve the issue.

We have created a Zap that moves data from JotForm to Affinity as expected, at least in our initial test.

So I would consider this request ‘CLOSED’  😀

That’s awesome @JGRolon! A huge thanks to @JammerS for pointing you in the right direction!
