Squarespace -> e-mail automation not working through blog form

Hello,

Trying to set up an e-mail automation after a form block on a blog gets filled out. The blog is enabled and published, and works when I enter the URL to visit the page, and the form works, sending me an e-mail notification and populating a google spreadsheet. The form is not available in zapier however, as an option for the automation trigger.

Ultimately we would like to create a speedy form for website visitors to quickly send an e-mail using a template to an elected official’s e-mail. Would love any advice on getting this done. Thank you!

Hi @Legal Aging Nonprofit

Good question.

Have you reviewed the available help articles for using SS in Zaps?

Hey @Legal Aging Nonprofit! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Can you confirm the form block isn’t on a cover page?

Zapier can only receive data from Form Blocks in Squarespace. Forms created as part of a Cover Page are not yet supported.

As a workaround, you can configure your Cover Page form in Squarespace to use Google Drive or an email address as its storage. You can then trigger your Zap using the Google Sheets or Email Parser integrations.

You’ll also want to make sure you’re on the Website Business plan or higher in Squarespace. Keep us posted!
