Square payments are missing decimal points in Zapier

I created a zap between Square App and Slack. It works fine except that the payment amount is missing the decilam point. So £14.34 would come through as 1434GBP. It’s only for notification, doesn’t metter that much, but I had created one before which worked fine.

Any idea why is this happening?

Hi @Attila

Good question.

Many apps send thru currency amounts without any decimals/commas to provide the raw amount.

Check to see if there is a formatted data point returned as part of the data payload.

Otherwise, you can use a Formatter > Numbers > Perform Math Operation (Divide by 100)

@Attila get ready - the Formatter allows you to format/manipulate data in so many amazing ways. Have fun exploring! I am going to mark Troy’s reply as the “Best Answer” on this thread but if anything else comes up, just let us know and we’d be happy to lend a hand. 🙂
