Slack Create Channel, Assign to Section

Hello,

 

Is there a way of creating channels via zapier in slack and then assigning them to a section? I can’t find anything in Zapier or the slack API either.

Hey @rneville! I can confirm that category/section support is not available in the current integration. The best thing to do for this issue, in particular, would be to contact our support team: https://zapier.com/app/get-help. From there, they can look into what’s possible and create a feature request on your behalf. I agree - this would be a cool feature to have available when creating new channels!

By channel category do you mean a channel section?

Channel Sections are newer functionality and are only available for paid Slack plans which may be why that is not available via the Slack Zap app integration.
