Hello,

I am trying to create a series of Zaps using Printavo and Hubspot.

Currently, I have a Zap where whenever a new quote is made, it checks if the person is a contact in Hubspot, and if they are it makes a new deal in Hubspot.

Now I want the deal stage in Hubspot to update as it is updated in Printavo. The problem I’m running into is that there is no way to search for the deal in my second zap, as it was created in the first zap.

Is there a way to send the ID of the deal from the first zap to the second zap, so that the deal can be updated?

Thanks.

Hi @spectrum,

It looks like you’ve reached out to our Support Team about this and they replied with a suggestion. I’ll share details of the suggestion here in case it’s helpful:

To update your deal status in HubSpot based on the order status in Printavo, you'll first need to locate the correct deal record to obtain the Deal ID and use it as the Object ID in the Update Deal step.

1. Start with a Find Contact step. In the Additional properties to retrieve, select the Deal information fields. This will ensure the step also returns the deal information associated with the contact record:

2. This should help in returning the Deal IDs.

3. In the Update Deal step, map the Deal ID to the Object ID field. The Status values in HubSpot should then populate correctly.

If the Deal ID isn't returned from the Find Contact step, check if it returns the deal name. You can also add a Find/Create Deal step so the Zap finds the deal by name and creates one if no deal exists yet.

Please reach out again if you have further questions, I'll be happy to assist you.

If you’ve got any questions regarding their suggestion it would be best to continue the conversation with them over email. If you can’t locate their reply I’d recommend searching your spam/junk folder or searching your inbox for any emails from zapier.com in case. Sometimes their emails can end up in the spam/junk folder by accident.
