Request for “New Chatbot Message” trigger in Zapier Interfaces

Hi everyone,
I’m working with Zapier Interfaces and the Chatbot (beta). My main use case is to send free-form instructions by voice through ChatGPT and have them update or query Google Sheets.

Currently I only see Chatbot Button Clicked or Conversation Completed, but these don’t fit free-form voice commands.

👉 Could Zapier enable or share plans for a “New Chatbot Message” trigger? I’d be happy to join the beta or waitlist.

Thanks!

Hi there @Mikerv 👋

Just came across this and it sounds like you’re wanting to trigger a Zap from a ChatGPT voice conversation, not a Zapier Chatbots conversation - is that correct?

If so, you might want to try using Zapier MCP for that. It lets you run Zapier actions directly from a GPT, so you could give ChatGPT voice instructions and have it update or search for a row in Google Sheets.

You can find out more about it here: Use Zapier MCP with your client

Hope that helps! If you run into any trouble with setting it up, just let us know. 🙂
