Public Holidays from Bamboo to Google Calendar

Hi! I am trying to automate the creation of public holidays in Google Calendar. We have updated public holidays in BambooHR and I want a zap to check them once a month to make sure there are events in the Google Calendar (we have a Culture calendar for that). If it can not find the even it should create it, ig there is an extra event it should delete it.

I didn’t find the specific API in Bamboo for this, the closest one they have is https://{companyDomain}.bamboohr.com/api/v1/time_off/whos_out (Get Who is Out) and it is not exactly what I want.

Hi there @NathalieVlv, welcome to the Community! 🎉

I had a quick look at the BambooHR API and it doesn’t appear to have any endpoints available that would allow you to see the public holiday that are added. So it doesn’t appear it would be possible to search for holidays in BambooHR via their API.

Are the holidays stored anywhere else before they are added to BambooHR? Just wondering if there’s an RSS feed or list of them somewhere other than BambooHR that we could access them from. For example, if they were in a spreadsheet, then new rows added to the spreadsheet could be used to trigger a Zap which then adds them to the Google Calendar. Do you think that sort of approach could work?

Hi Sam! Thanks a lot for looking into my case, it’s very helpful. I just wanted to make sure there’s no possibility to do it via Bamboo - Google Calendar integration. Knowing that, I’ll try to find a work around.
