Outlook message subject > Excel row

(I apologize ahead of time if this has already been covered somewhere)

My co-worker sends me Outlook emails with candidate’s name as the subject, telling me that they have passed their background check. We have candidates in a spreadsheet, one row per candidate. I would like to automatically email the candidate to inform them that their background check is complete.

Question: how do I ask Zapier to find the candidate e-mail address in my spreadsheet based on the subject (candidate name) of an incoming message?

Hiya @meredithhg! Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community! 🎉

I wonder if some of these similar questions and blog posts might be helpful! In this case, you would just be switching the date for a name.

I hope this helps! Please keep us posted if you’re able to get this sorted. We’d love to know!

Hey @meredithhg! Were you able to build your zap? 😊 The link Christina posted seems like it would work for what you need, but let us know if you need help walking through it!
