Is it possible to connect multiple Xero Instances to a single Salesforce Instance. Are there any limits on the number of connected accounts?

Hi @Gareth,

It is quite complex to connect multiple Xero to a single Salesforce account due to API limitation of Xero and Salesforce. We recommend to contact Xero and Salesforce support for any advice tailored with your situation.

@JammerS, why would it be difficult? One of my clients has 8 different Google Calendar connections for 8 different people. Why would Xero be different?

Hi folks! 👋

@DavidLGS - while it’s generally possible to have multiple app connections for a single app, there can sometimes be limitations imposed by an app’s own API that prevent multiple app connections from being used.

In the case of Xero, according to the My account keeps getting disconnected guide here an app account connection may be automatically disconnected if more than one app connection to the same Xero account is added.

@Gareth - if the additional Xero accounts that you’re wanting to connect are for different Xero accounts then you should be able to use them without any issues.

Also, worth noting that Salesforce’s API has a limit of 5 app connections—for more details see: Connected app access limits to Salesforce. This isn’t a limit on the number of Zaps that can use Salesforce, it’s a limit on the number of Salesforce app connections that can be added.

Hope that helps to clarify things. If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can help with do let us know! 🙂
